This month the Pronicare project had the exciting opportunity to participate in the JPI Oceans MarTERA Meeting in Brussels!
Pronicare was represented by researchers Juan Yang and OIe Øystein Knudsen from Norwegian project lead SINTEF, as well as Marius Ernst from Germany industry partner Kelvion. The objectives and aims of the project were shared via poster alongside other successful projects funded by the MarTERA co-fund scheme.
As Pronicare researcher and project coordinator Juan Yang notes, “It was a very informative meeting. Almost all the project coordinators and some project participants from the MarTera call for 2020 and 2021 attended. It was a full day in-person meeting for the projects funded in 2020 and 2021 by the ERA-NET Cofund MarTERA. This was a nice opportunity for projects to present project results and to network and share experiences. In addition to the project results, two interesting topics Science-Industry collaboration and EU funding opportunities were discussed.”
After the meeting Juan also received a tour of the facilities at Kelvion, promoting collaboration between Pronicare partners and facilitating a better understanding of the construction and functioning of different maritime niche areas.
👉 Pronicare is a 3 year collaboration between industry and research organisations in Norway, Germany, and Malta which aims to develop environmentally friendly antifouling and anticorrosion coatings for use in the maritime, aquaculture, and offshore industries.
